First Aid PDF Print E-mail

Students must have a note from their teacher to report to the first aid station when they are ill. The parent will be contacted to ask for the student to be collected. The first aid room is in the Administration Services building and parents can collect their child via Exhibition Road. Parents must report to the Student Services counter or general office to collect a child.

Whilst the well being of a student is important, parents must understand that first aid is administered by Teacher Aides who have a first aid certificate. They are not nurses and therefore they only treat students injured at school. First aid staff are not expected to dress wounds that have occurred outside of school hours.

If an accident occurs during school time, first aid staff will assess the injury and an ambulance will be called if necessary. A parent/caregiver will be contacted as soon as possible. Students must not text their parents on their mobile phones to ask to be collected from school.
